This is race is one of my favorite race because the race director is one of my favorite people.
This year course was different from the last year event. Since the trail got a pretty bad erosion, so the park had to close most of the trail section. Instead of 2 loops of out and back as its original course, Dan Hernandez, the race director, had to cut it down into 6 loops of 5.2 ish miles.

After I got injured at Pinhoti and took a break from running , I went back to Jakarta for vacation and to visit my family. The first week I got there, my feet were getting itchy. So I talked with my local runners friends if there would be a group run or what not. And Dixon my high school friend told me that he had an extra BIB for NIKE 10K race, and I was like hell yeah.
The race started pretty early, 6.30 am inside the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium at the heart of Jakarta. Tho the temperature was not crazy hot, the humidity was pretty high. I was sweating already at the starting line next with 8000 other runners. It was like a red ocean of people because we were obliged to wear the official race red shirt.
Pinhoti 100, 2013
Course
A Point to Point Trail run starting in Heflin AL on the unmolested Pinhoti single track trail. Runners will make their way over the highest point in Alabama while navigation over rocks, through creeks and across beautiful ridge lines of the Talladega National Forest. The course will consist of 81 miles of single track, 17 miles of jeep road and 4 miles of pavement and will finish on the rubberized track in the Sylacauga High School Football Stadium.
